~~~REFRESHING THE ISLAMIC SOUL~~~

Assalamualaikum w.b.t to all of you.

introduction: 

Islam is a complete way of life. There is no separation between social life and religion. Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage Students’ Society proudly present I WAVE “Refreshing the Islamic Soul” as a platform to bring IIUM community back to Islamic practicing in their daily life. It is because Islam is a complete way of life and everything related to humanity survival are being told in Quran and Sunnah. Thus IRKHS’S is working on this programme to inculcate IIUM community to practice Islamic teachings in all things related to their life and to have commitment in good deeds based on Islamic teachings as Allah said in the Holy Quran:

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱدۡخُلُواْ فِى ٱلسِّلۡمِ ڪَآفَّةً۬ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٲتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ‌ۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ لَڪُمۡ عَدُوٌّ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬ (٢٠٨)

O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy( al-baqarah-208)

NATURE OF PROGRAMME

I-WAVE consists of four sub programmes which are Jenazah Workshop, Grand Talk, The Amazing Cycling Race and Wihdatul Ummah. Jenazah Workshop is a seminar based programme, Grand Talk is a spirituality Programme while The Amazing Cycling Race is recreational programme. I WAVE will be closed by Wihdatul Ummah which is a cultural programme. All these programme are conducted based on Islamic teachings and allowed by syariah, Insya-Allah.

      OBJECTIVE

1. To encourage IIUM community to back to the Islamic practicing from all aspect of life.

2.   To instil the IIUM community with the responsible of Muslim whether in Fardhu ‘Ain or Fardhu Kifayah.

3.   To make a person as a role model to another.

4.   To spread the spirit wave of Islamic teachings and practicing.

5.   To expose the IIUM Community with the entertainment which is allowed in Islamic teachings and not excessive.

              CONCLUSION

It is our ardent hope that this programme will get full support from all parties, which are vital for the smooth running and success of this programme. This is necessary to ensure the effective fulfilment of its underlined objectives as mentioned before, Insya-Allah.

We really hope that all committees from each programme will diligently implement the best commitment for this I-WAVE. Insya-Allah by doing all these programmes, we may achieve the main objectives of I-WAVE and simultaneously grab the opportunity to attain IRKHS’S 2011/2012 vision which is “Towards Continuity of Al Qawy wal Amin through IRKHS’S”. We will try our best to attain this vision and also our ultimate goal that is “mardhatillah”. 

We would like to thank all parties involved in advance for their contribution and cooperation in making this programme successful. May Allah accepts all the efforts as Ibadah and give His full blessings.
